Bakri Balloon for Postpartum Hemorrhage
In managing postpartum hemorrhage that is not responding to medical resuscitation you may have to place a uterine tamponade device, such as a Bakri balloon.
Equipment:
-Basin with sterile water or sterile saline, or an IV bag with 500 mL of saline or water
-Bakri balloon kit, which contains:
1. Bakri balloon
2. Tubing connecting to a one way valve
3. Stopcock
4. 50 mL syringe
Place the Bakri balloon into the uterus, either with ring forceps (no sharp objects) or with your hands. Placement can be confirmed with ultrasound if available. The operator (or assistant) will hold the device in place while being inflated to ensure it does not migrate.

My aunt bled to death during childbirth
Are you using a cadaver?
Get a free standing pull up bar learn to hang in a variety of different positions
I think it would make sense to withdraw 150ml from a 500ml IV Bag and that way you don't have to count the number of 50ml aliquots you have instilled into the balloon.
Meanwhile this lady just chilling here wondering when shes able to leave 🤣... please dont think i thought this was a actual person lol
I had this in surgery and it caused an infection because I was allergic to it luckily they caught it before I went septic but I will say it works great but for any one willing to try it make sure you are not allergic to it P.S mine was only so serious because I had a 4 hour hernia mesh surgery for the hernias… so an infection due to an alergic reaction was actually common result from the glue if you were allergic to it
I always just use super glue lol. Works great.
i accidentally “mangled” my fingertips (they look normal just a couple scars) they couldn’t use stitches so they used glue on my pointer finger the glue dripped down and gave me a burn i think it was a chemical burn🥲
What was the ampule made of? Cuz wouldn’t breaking it form shards in the glue?
Yeah, I just use super glue for all cuts that need this. Save yourself $$$ from the ER.
Is this to apply pressure to the hemorrhage?
What for?
Postpartum hemorrhage
To stop very heavy bleeding that can/ will cause death.
Because it saved my life after my youngest was delivered. I was losing way too much blood.
Where is the girl with the list?
I split open my chin once and I almost needed stitches but they used glue to close the wound instead I was just stuck wearing bandages and gauze on my face for awhile lol
Nothing else works?
Skin glue 👍
Does this prevent scars
Yes ,I cut the tip of finger off ,put crazy glue a work ,but I did run into the bathroom like ,I was using a lathe ,and a cut off .
Needle is far to large.
Human JB weld, sweet !
What about if it's profusely bleeding from the wound?
I accidentally cut myself in my wood shop, all I did was flush out the wound and all I used was super glue, a bandage, and duct tape. I'm not gonna pay $2-3K for a hospital vist and purple glue.
I got skin glue on my forehead, busted it open. It freaking burned I was like 7-8?
Better than staples and stitches
My 4year old brother needed this
It burns like hell tho
I am developing TMJ dislocation simulator now!
That is really cool!! In Indonesia, we chew cassava leaves and applied it to wound, the bleeding will stop. Then wait a few minutes for the cut to stick together. Not for big severe wound though. Works well for knife cut, for example. I cut my finger about 1 cm long, I was afraid to tell my mom, so do that myself. I was about 9 or 10 yo😅
Super glue. Literally
And don’t forget to blow on it to dry faster 😅
This is so informative! Great job, fantastic reporting!🌻🌼🐝 Keep it up 🙌
Just pop the sucker back in, what's the big deal? I just had it go the other direction.
Certified hood classic mandible reduction
My son got that 17 years a go, right on his forehead. I stopped the bleeding in seconds with white vinegar and run to the hospital. As soon the nurse clean it up and removed the vinegar he started bleeding again.( It stings a little bit, but alcohol its way worst and will not stop the bleeding. ) it was very helpful, I didn't believe it . White vinegar will help to stopped the bleeding so you have time to go and get attention.
Salut ..sunt doar n Romania în 26 februarie am suferit o fractura de meta 5 .am pus șurub și 3 saptamini am făcut pauza..sunt in recuperare .
Is there not a chance to have a glass shard
This particular method will not release glass past the applicator tip.
Is that available to the general public?
Not really. It’s prescription only so the clinic would provide it. Although it might be possible to find it in the internet.
The problem is patients always think you’re crazy for trying this
Now... That will be 600 Dollars.
When I was little I got scratched by a dog right between the eyebrows and had to get it glued back together like this haha.
What a bad idea
OMG.... You don't need that much numbing gel. Lol. A simple cotton tip applicator would do!.
Ficam três horas a mostrar a mesma coisa 😡😡
Super glue works really good
They did that in my face . No scare
Do you really use stimson technique at ER setting? you want to discharge patient as soon as possible, right? Use Fares technique? plus practice the reduction technique?
Tell them it burns too 😅😂 . They used this stuff on my finger
Does this work for pressure sores?
Had this put on my thumb when I cut it really deep with scissors putting up a fort made of bookshelves. Hurt like b*tch, but didn't have to get stitches!
Completely honest - this is probably the best teaching methodology I've seen for ant dislocation ever. The skeletal with the arrows of vector force application, the secondary help, the real person, units of measure...amazing. thank you
